Data protection and your rights

The key points on how your data is handled.

Controller

The controller for the data on this site is a private individual who runs it on a non-commercial basis. You can get in touch through the site's contact form.

Deletion

We keep data only while needed and then delete it, save where a legal duty applies. Access logs are kept only for a short time.

Updates

This policy is updated when the law or the service changes. The version published here applies.

Why your data is used

Your data is used only to run the site and reply to your messages. The basis is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR, and your consent where needed under Article 6(1)(a). Your data is never sold or rented.

Data we collect

Only the data needed to reply is collected: your name, an email and, if you wish, a phone number, your message and basic technical data such as your IP address. Sensitive data is not requested.

Your rights

The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 let you access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. Use the site's contact form to do so. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the supervisory authority for the United Kingdom, at ico.org.uk.

Use of cookies

Only strictly necessary cookies are used. Advertising or analytics cookies are set only with your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), withdrawable at any time. You can also refuse cookies in your browser.
